Genealogical Photography - Tasmania
Welcome to Genealogical Photography - Tasmania. A site of images, products and services to help you find out more about your Tasmanian ancestors.
WE HAVE SOME CHANGES COMING.......
DOWNLOADABLE FILES NOW AVAILABLE ON THE CORNELIAN BAY CEMETERY PAGE
Over the coming weeks we are going to be making a few changes and additions to our site. We have already noted about the Glenora Police Inspector's Day Book and we have more information about that; we believe now that the Day Book, or diary, is that of Trooper William HASTIE. We are looking forward to finishing this project but have a way to go yet.
We have also been working on the Cornelian Bay Cemetery and this is going to be a big change for us as we will be offering this in a completely different way. The Headstone CDs will continue to be available of course, but there will also be another option available.
This will be a High Resolution Data DVD that will have the same content as the CDs but the images will be digitally 6 times bigger.
We are also hoping to offer a Downloadable Lite Version of each section featured on the CDs and data DVDs. Each section will comprise 2 small images of each identifiable grave in the section. No secondary plaques, unreadable or unnamed graves will be featured. All we have to do is work out the technical stuff of getting them on the site, and they will become available.
Another feature coming to the site is the availability of downloadable genealogical resources. Once again all we have to do is work out the technical stuff.
Some new photos we will be featuring shortly will be a series on Woodbridge (the big old house next to New Norfolk Bridge) and one of a painting of the Willow Court Barracks in New Norfolk showing the willow trees taken as a seedling from Napoleon's grave and planted by Lady Jane Franklin, the wife of Governor Franklin.
We also mentioned that a price rise was coming for our CDs. We have kept to the same very low price for over 3 years now and unfortunately this has to change. The price of the Headstones of Tasmania CDs will rise to $17.00. We believe this is still very good value.
